The Midwest Force was “officially” formed January of 2010 by Andrew Davis and Tyler Peckham. Both Davis and Peckham were part of the Ohio Force in the 2009 season, but caught many flaws in the team due to players and ownership. They broke off, leaving with respect with the Ohio Force ownership, in turn, establishing the Midwest Force. They assembled a board which would deal with all off-field issues (finances, jerseys, field etc.)
The Force entered the Interstate Football League with high hopes; however, the Force finished their first season at 3-5. The Force consists of players mostly out of the Northern Miami Valley (North Dayton) area, and others ranging from Wapakoneta down to Vandalia. We hope to field a team of 40-45 players this season. Head Coach Travis Brannon leads the Force on the field bringing a tough smack you in the mouth style defense and an explosive multi-back offense. The Force are committed to contributing to the surrounding communities off the field as well. Last season we hosted a preseason cancer benefit game with the Tri-County Raiders of the Crossroads Football League, raising over $700 to the Shelby County Relay for Life, and also participated with a toy drive with Hits 105.5.
