The Crossroads Football League was formed in 2010. The founding teams had just finished up their 2009 season in the Midwest Football League. The owners of the teams decided that after 6 years it was time to end the era of the MFL and begin anew. The Crossroads Football League name was decided upon as a nod to the State of Indiana’s Moto: the Crossroads of America and the league would be focused on smaller teams while keeping travel distance to a minimum. Elected the first League Commissioner, Wayne Wof was instrumental in the start of the league by helping to organize and file the proper paperwork to become a legit non-profit organization. The first 6 founding teams of the League were: Allen-Co Dark Knights, Indiana Patriots, Indy Renegades, Miami-Co Blitz, Ohio Force, and the Tri-Co Raiders. The Indy Renegades won the first Championship.
